Aroma - Woody, sweet, exotic, subtle and lingering.
Features - This beautiful oil comes from an evergreen tree. The yellowish wood is only cut when it reaches maturity at sixty years. 
History - Popular since antiquity, caravans loaded with Sandalwood were a familiar sight along the trade routes from India to Egypt, Greece and Rome. Many old Indian temples, as well as furniture, were built from Sandalwood probably because of its resistance to ants. Much in demand as incense - useful for meditation and religious ceremonies, especially in India and China. It was burnt at funerals, reputedly to help free the soul in death. Used in embalming by the Egyptians. It was also a well-known remedy in the treatment of gonorrhoea.
Mind - A very relaxing oil, soothes nervous tension and anxiety - more sedative than uplifting. Reputedly helpful in dealing with obsessional altitudes and said to cut ties with the past.
Body - Very useful to the genital-urinary system alleviating cystitis and should be massaged in the kidney region for its purifying and anti-inflammatory action. Its aphrodisiac qualities can relieve sexual problems such as frigidity and impotence, perhaps dealing with underlying anxiety. Encourages relaxation and a feeling of well-being. Helpful for chest infections, sore throats, dry coughs, bronchitis, lung infections. Very relaxing and aids sleep when chest infections are present. Helps to stimulate the immune system and keep infection at bay. May also treat heartburn and could be helpful for diarrhoea.
Effects on Skin - A balancing oil but good for dry eczema as well as ageing and dehydrated skins. Gives a softening effect and makes a good neck cream. Relieves itching and inflammation and its antiseptic qualities may be helpful with acne, boils and infected wounds.
Blends - Clarysage, Black Pepper, Fennel, Frankincense, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniperberry, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Neroli, Palmarosa, Rose, Rosewood, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang.

Aroma - A light fresh mild mint fragrance.
Features - Spearmint has been cultivated throughout Europe and is used as flavouring in foods and in cosmetic preparations.
History - Native to the Mediterranean now commonly grown throughout Europe, Western Asia and the Middle East. Used by the ancient Greeks as a restorative and to scent their bath water. It has a long history of adaptation to childhood problems.
Mind - Stimulating, it is a great combat for mental fatigue, concentration, nervous strain, stress, clearing headaches and migraine.
Body - Best known for chest problems and digestive disorders, chest infections, colic, hiccough, flatulence, indigestion, children's hair care, nausea, dyspepsia, bronchitis, asthma, colds, fever, flu, sinusitis problems and whooping cough.
Effects on Skin - Toning and refreshing particularly good for congested skin. Used for acne and dermatitis.

Aroma - A sweet, spicy-green and very clinical fragrance.
Features - The name derives from its local usage as a type of herbal tea. Prepared from the leaves. It is effective against all three varieties of infectious organisms bacterial, fungal and viral.
History - The tea was consumed to ward off both medical and spiritual ailments. Part of the Melaleuca family related to Niaouli it has a long history of use by the Aboriginal people of Australia. Tea Tree has taken on some of the strongest synthetic medicines and won.
Body - Tea Tree is an immuno-stimulant and assists the body to defend itself against arthritis, cystitis, dental care, hair
care, head lice, insect bites, respiratory disorders, muscular aches and pains.
Effects on Skin - Best used on oily or problem skin e.g. abscesses, acne, Athlete’s Foot, boils, blisters, bruises, burns, cuts, dandruff and dermatitis.

Aroma – fresh, earthy, woody
Features – Tsuga canadensis, also known as eastern hemlock, eastern hemlock-spruce, or Canadian hemlock (NOT the poisonous variety) offers skin-cleansing properties and makes a great addition to spiritual and meditative practices. It is the effective herbal medicines which is associated with an emotional balance. The color of the oil ranges from colourless to yellowish. Tsuga tree grows up to 28-31 meters in height having yellow to brown twigs and small cones.
History – It was used by Native Americans for its medicinal properties. The poultice was made from needles of tree that is used to treat pain and heal wounds. The twigs are boiled for tea that is used to treat gastrointestinal and digestive problems. It is widely used in Ayurveda and Chinese herbal medicine to prevent health ailments.
Mind – Lowers tension, spiritually uplifting and grounding, great during meditation or yoga, beneficial to include in diffuser blends intended to help remain focused, optimistic, calm and balanced, energizing and stimulating (but not overly) when feeling lethargic. 
Body – It assists respiratory problems such as bronchitis, flu, colds, coughs, anti-microbial and is helpful as a decongestant and expectorant, also a blood cleanser, helpful with minor muscular aches and pains.
Effects on skin – It provides balanced, smooth, rejuvenated, and bright skin and can also serve as an antioxidant for free radicals which have an adverse influence on your skin. Dermatologists often designate this oil for treating psoriasis, eczema, itching, pimples, skin diseases, poor skin, scabies, sores, and fleas.

Aroma - Sweet, floral, exotic and heavy.
Features - Varieties of pink, mauve and yellow flowers grow on this small tropical tree. We obtain oil that has been distilled through the yellow blooms as this yields the finest oil.
History - The tree is apparently ‘a crown of the east’ and is also known as ‘the perfume tree’. In the South Seas women dress their hair with the essential oil of Ylang Ylang in a mixture of coconut oil. Indeed it was once used as an ingredient for hair preparations in Europe. A lovely custom in Indonesia sees beds spread with these petals on wedding nights, no doubt honouring the aphrodisiac qualities for which it is famed. Up until the 1900s the Philippines had a world trade monopoly on what was sometimes called ‘the poor man’s Jasmine’.
Mind - Eases anger, anxiety, shock, panic and fear.
Body - Its reputed ability to balance the hormones makes it valuable for problems associated with the reproductive system, a womb tonic, helpful after caesarean birth. Its antidepressant and aphrodisiac qualities are well known in helping with sexual problems. Particularly useful for rapid breathing, heartbeat and its sedative properties could help bring down high blood pressure. Altogether has a relaxing effect on the nervous system.

Features - Light yellow to orange with a thin consistency
History - Yuzu, Citrus junos, is a citrus fruit that is primarily grown in Asia. The fruit is yellow to green in color and is not typically eaten. Instead, its aromatic rind is traditionally used for culinary applications. Yuzu Essential Oil is well known for application within personal fragrancing. However, limited reliable information exists on the use of Yuzu Oil for other specific applications. The pleasant aroma of Yuzu Essential Oil makes it a good candidate for uplifting diffuser blends intended to help with anxiety, depression and nervousness. During the winter solstice, the Japanese bathe in tubs of floating yuzu, inhaling the fragrant scent of its peels. Today, a few drops of Yuzu Essential Oil can be added to a bath, creating the same calming, creative effects. With its comforting, optimistic essence, Yuzu Essential Oil is a delightfully unique choice for citrus fans.
